ITA. Nella sua biografia appaiono dati significativi tra cui la frequentazione della North Carolina School of the Arts e della School of the Arts di New York. LaChapelle è famoso per aver ottenuto il suo primo incarico fotografico grazie alla stima del grandissimo Andy Warhol e il suo talento l’ha successivamente portato a lavorare per le riviste più conosciute. L’artista ha inoltre pubblicato molti libri fotografici con i suoi scatti (LaChapelle Land, Hotel LaChapelle, Artists, Prostitutes, Heaven to Hell) e ha poi esteso le sue capacità oltre il mezzo fotografico arrivando a dirigere videoclip musicali e il documentario “Rize” premiato al Sundance Film Festival. La sua arte gli permette di analizzare il mondo e di trasmettere le sue percezioni con ironia. Viene definito barocco, eccessivo e surrealista, ma i suoi scatti hanno conquistato la critica e le star del jet set perché è facile essere affascinati da un pensiero fuori dall’ordinario che rende tutto possibile!!!
